Volunteer
with us!

We can’t do this work without you! Whether you are interested in preparing and serving meals or tending to the community garden, we offer rewarding, uplifting volunteer experiences. And we even have opportunities to get the whole family involved!

Serving our guests and working with our community directly can be a truly perspective-shifting and even transformational experience for those who want to open their hearts to the cause of hunger in Denver. Please review the information below for more details and send us a message at whitney@thepreserveryfoundation.org if you’d like to help us in our mission to build community through food.

Giving Meals

We provide hot, wholesome, scratch-made meals directly to our neighbors experiencing unsheltered homelessness as well as folks living with food insecurity through our partners at Denver Community Fridges.

Our dear friends at Nocturne generously share their kitchen with us on Mondays and Tuesdays when they are normally closed. We do all our prep and cooking on Monday and then package and distribute the food on Tuesday along with water, snacks and utensils.

Distribution Shift: Tuesdays, 11am to 2pm

Community Garden

In addition to our weekly Giving Meals distribution, we also manage a community garden in Globeville for the Garden Place Academy community. This vibrant space in the heart of the neighborhood not only helps address food insecurity, but also serves as a unique and beautiful learning space for the school’s students.

Growing season is April through October and we can arrange individual and group volunteer efforts just about any day or time between Wednesday and Sunday.
